BLACKJACK TOURNAMENTS

Blackjack tournaments have become very popular at many casinos all over the world or even in online casinos. Why? because it is possible for an average player to win a considerable amount of money for a relatively moderate entry fee. Here's a primer to help you get the edge over your opponent.

1. Play only in tournaments where all entry fees are returned as prizes.

2. It's best to make one or two large bets to try to catch up if you fall behind a leader rather than a series of medium size bets.

3. If he bets big, you bet small or vice versa, this is another way of catching up to a leader.

4. If you're the leader, it's best to match the amount wagered by your nearest competitors. This makes it more difficult for them to catch you.

5. Players who learn how to count chips accurately you can estimate your opponent's bankroll going into those last few crucial hands.

6. Pay attention to maximum betting limit. Otherwise you won't be able to bet enough to catch them.

7. If you have to bet big a few hands prior to the last hand, then do so even if it means busting out.

8. If you do not have enough chips to catch the leader, hold back one more chip than the leader, bet the rest, then hope that the leader beats the table.

9. Be ready to split or double down on the last hand if necessary to win more money.

10. Consider betting half your bankroll, that is if you need to make a large bet on the last hand.
